Android Engineer NFC and Hardware Authentication

DI-Africa is seeking an experienced Android Engineer specializing in NFC and hardware authentication to join their remote team in Madagascar, contributing to a privacy-first information system.

Missions

Build the hardware-key authentication experience of the Android client: YubiKey over NFC, lost-key and account-freeze flows, USB OTG support and transaction initiation screens, in close collaboration with UX. Implement YubiKey 5 NFC WebAuthn authentication on Android. Build the lost-key and account-freeze user journeys with the UX Designer. Support USB OTG hardware keys as an alternative path. Develop high-trust approval and initiation screens in TypeScript/React with the payments and UX teams. Validate behaviour on real devices in the shared device lab with QA (hardware-in-the-loop).
